5 Reasons to Discover Powder Mountain, UT

I am beyond excited for the next generation of ski life experience at Powder Mountain, UT. Located 70 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and 90 minutes from Park City, just a little bit farther than Snowbasin Ski Resort. Plentiful snowfall and few crowds await you.

If you have been waiting for a fresh concept in ski resort adventure, then Powder Mountain is for you.

1. New real estate opportunities at Powder Mountain feel very Scandinavian. Clean lines, efficient, one with nature and welcoming. The concept has been dubbed as “Heritage Modernism”. I myself felt like I was in Finland, Norway or Sweden and was instantly taken in with the aesthetic. Gone are the massive clunky dark lodges. In with the bright and clean aura.

2. Powder Mountain is for you if you have an “early adopter” mentality. Don’t get me wrong, I first skied Powder Mountain 20 years ago. But the new owners have created something new and fresh. You will want to get in early to take advantage of the possibilities.

3. Powder Mountain is for you if you want an over 10,000 acre playground of peace, serenity and balance with nature. Powder Mountain has over 8500 acres of skiable terrain, limited ticket sales and caps season passes at 3000, helping to ensure a laidback environment.

4. Looking to be with like-minded folks who cherish the natural surroundings and respect preservation? Powder Mountain strives to be in balance with nature.

5. Let’s talk powder skiing. My personal experience has been “freshies all day with free refills”.  Some of the best ski days of my life have been at Powder Mountain. Well worth the drive. The locals are going to really not like me for writing this. Having said that, there is a “local” culture that needs to be respected.
